Hi, I’m Rohit 👋
I work as an API and Integrations Engineer at IFTTT, where I’ve spent 6+ years building the connective tissue between software systems. Integrations, webhooks, automation layers, things that make apps actually talk to each other at scale. 30M+ users rely on these things not breaking, which keeps the job interesting.
Outside of work, I tinker. There’s usually a Raspberry Pi running something in the background, an old iPod Classic being restored on the side, and some hardware project in a state of “almost working.” I like getting my hands on things, not just code.
I also organise with Kanpur FOSS, contribute to the local tech community, and occasionally automate things that probably didn’t need automating. Like getting Claude to handle my daily milk order so I can focus on the coffee. I am a part-time barista (the home kind).
Music & books are constant. I’m particular about how I listen to it, which is probably why I ended up restoring old iPods instead of just using music streaming services like a normal person.
This is my corner of the internet. I write here when something’s worth writing about.
